Project Overview
Project Type: Academic Project – Lisbon School of Design
Context: Poster Design Exercise and extras designs.
Timeline: 3 days (2024)
My Role: Graphic Designer
As part of a design exercise for the Lisbon School of Design, I created a poster for the Taste of Chicago, one of the most iconic and long-standing food festivals in the United States.
To develop the concept, I researched the festival’s visual history and gathered key elements from past editions, such as color palettes, musical references, hot dogs, the city’s skyline, and typographic styles. I combined these elements into a vibrant and colorful composition that reflects the joyful, energetic spirit that defines the festival year after year.
The mood board helped guide my creative direction, allowing me to honor the event's visual legacy while offering a fresh and engaging approach. Some of the illustrations featured in the poster were created by a bot I programmed using ReCraft, an AI-based tool I integrated selectively into the process to enhance efficiency.
